Camping - General Information

Our home is adjacent to the campsite and we have a quiet workshop nearby in which we run our small business making tents.

We expect to be on hand during your stay in case of any problems, but otherwise will leave you in peace.

We have a resident cat called Murphy. He is big, black, beautiful and could be mistaken for the Beast of Bodmin Moor.

Murphy the Cat

You are welcome to bring acoustic musical instruments but please, no loud drums! The idea is peace and tranquility. We also play music ourselves and sometimes our band, The Damp Rats, can be persuaded to play of an evening round the campfire. See our website http://www.thedamprats.co.uk .

If you fancy a Therapeutic Body Massage in your tent you can book Bridget Pentecost, a registered Healer and Massage Therapist, on 07941 777547 or go to www.thenaturalhealingclinic.co.uk

Public Transport

We are very rural here and, as there is no public transport to speak of, you will find it very difficult to go anywhere without a car

Train or Coach

The nearest train station is Bodmin Parkway, 25 miles west of us. There is no public transport from Bodmin to here so you will need to hire a car.

If you want to use public transport, it is easier to leave the train or coach at Exeter St Davids.

From Exeter you can take a Western Greyhound coach to Davidstow Church which is walking distance from the site.

Flights to Newquay

There are flights from London, Manchester, East Midlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow to Newquay Airport, approximately 25 miles away, where it is recommended that you hire a car.
